Philippe joined the Parachut team five months ago. An expert in affinity car insurance, Philippe is a true enthusiast. He tells us all about him, his background and of course the brand new product dedicated to the car market: Meka.
Philippe, can you introduce yourself?
I am an expert in affinity car insurance. Passionate, curious and energetic, I have a sense of the customer journey. I enjoy working in a multidisciplinary and international team. My motto is “let’s work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously”.
Can you tell us more about your career path?
As a graduate of the ESC school, my career has always been marked by the automotive sector. First, in the after-sales service, then in the trade press in France, Spain, but also in Poland.
I discovered insurance 15 years ago with a French market leader: ICARE. After this experience, I joined the Spanish insurer MAPFRE, n°1 in the Spanish insurance market, listed on ibex 35, in sales and marketing functions. I also worked for OPTEVEN, a company specialising in car insurance.
For the past 6 years, I have been Vice-President of the Motor Commission of the FG2A, Fédération des Garanties et Assurances Affinitaires. Before joining the Parachut team, I created a start-up that conducted consulting missions. My background allows me to have a 360° view of the automotive and insurance market.
What is your position at Parachut?
I am the Automotive Market Manager, my mission is to create and develop the automotive market vertical by adding products and services to the Parachut catalogue. My motto would be “ When there’s a wheel, there’s a way” except for aircraft, of course.
